Troubled by Flooring
It's just flooring. And yet, it's everything.
As a fellow dog lover, I live with two French Bulldogs.
Since we stopped using a cage and started sleeping together, they became not just "dogs" but "family." My love deepened, and they became "irreplaceable treasures."
But living in the same space as humans brings various concerns.
—Shedding, odors, and above all, floor stress. The clattering of nails. Slippery hardwood. Worried, restless, feeling sorry for them.
When my dog running around as usual slipped and hurt their joints, I deeply regretted it. "Why didn't I address the flooring sooner?"
The Beginning of My Flooring Journey
From there, my flooring journey began. Tile carpet, cork mat, cushion floor... I tried every flooring called "pet-friendly."
But nothing clicked.
First I laid cheap tile carpet to prevent slipping, layered mats on top for stains. Hair got in the gaps, urine soaked in, shifted, bunched up... the living room became an unsettling dog kennel.

For regular cleaning, vacuuming is fine, just like any other floor! You can also wipe it down with a damp cloth. Even if your dog has an accident or you spill juice or other liquids, it’s completely waterproof, so rest assured it won’t soak through to the floor. First, calmly and thoroughly soak up the liquid with a rag or toilet sheet. For urine, etc., then sprinkle alkaline electrolyzed water, disinfectant deodorizing spray, or baking soda, and soak up the moisture again. Repeating this process will leave no odor and clean it thoroughly. For stubborn stains or a complete wash, apply a diluted solution of specialized cleaner or neutral detergent, scrub vigorously with a brush, then wipe it off. Repeating this process will clean it beautifully.
For spot cleaning around the home, water-wash vacuum cleaners (rinse cleaners) sold by various appliance manufacturers are ideal.

Alternatively, you can install trim to conceal the tape’s cut edges.
